About the Sand Hopper's
is a website run by John, Vanessa and Beryl Searing, and is based in New Zealand. The idea for a photography website had been long running in the mind of John Searing. He wanted to share his exquisite images with others instead of being locked away on a hard drive. In early 2009 John took his two daughters on board to contribute to the creation of the site and the library of images.
Beryl Searing
Beryl is a student of Accounting at Victoria University of Wellington. Her interest in photography began at the ripe young age of 15 when she got her first camera. Beryl also has an interest in black and white photography and prefers film over digital. She enjoys taking photos of people and more recently has been experimenting with panoramic shots. Beryl lives in Wellington.
Vanessa Searing
Vanessa recently finished her degree in Marketing at Victoria University of Wellington. Her interest in photography began at College where she learnt old school photography techniques in the darkroom. She has an affinity with portraiture and old lonely buildings, and her photography includes black and white and Lomo images. Vanessa lives in Wellington
John Searing
John has worked many years in the Broadcasting industry in New Zealand and Asia. His interest in photography started over 30 years ago and he hasnt been able to put his camera down since. Landscapes and macro floral shots play a major part in Johns subject matter, along with sunrises and sunsets. John is based in both Auckland and One Tree Point.
